How we met :

Jason and Michael met in November 2013 through the dating website/app “OkCupid”.  As the saying goes, they both “swiped right”. 

In their initial exchanges, Michael liked that Jason wrote clearly and used good grammar; Jason liked that Michael thoroughly answered his questions in the order they were asked.  In addition to this obvious love connection, there was a mutual attraction and a seemingly good prospect. 

Their first date was at San Francisco’s aptly-named “Prospect” restaurant, where they closed the place down following hours of conversation about common interests and experiences.  From that point on, they have spent the past 5 years building a life together in San Francisco, traveling the world, and spending quality time with family and friends. 

Michael proposed to Jason in December 2016 in the Marin Headlands, overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco.  They are excited to welcome everyone to a celebration of their love and commitment in Michael’s hometown of beautiful San Diego on July 20th, 2019, which is also Jason’s 40th birthday!
